Meet Millie.
Olde Millie has been in our family for years. Our cousin owned her before us, and the four of us recently bought her together — two sisters and their husbands. Two of us grew up in Centerville, walking distance from this kitchen. Two came in by marriage, from Hingham and from as far as Sonoma. Our father and his brothers grew up here in Osterville. The rest of the family is still in the town of Barnstable.
The house itself is a classic Cape: cedar shingles, gambrel roof, red front door, white picket fence. Inside, she's been fully renovated — new kitchen with a quartz waterfall island, exposed brick wall, stainless appliances — but she still feels like the cottage she's always been.
Three bedrooms sleep six comfortably. A bright sunroom off the back catches morning light. The covered paver patio with the long dining table and string lights is where you'll spend your evenings. When you stay at Millie, you're in our hometown.
